Both specialists in children’s eyewear, Opal and Demetz now cover all the optical and sunglasses needs of children and teenagers. This closer relationship reinforces their position as leader in the children’s frames market. Convinced that the two companies had much to offer each other, François Fort and Gilles Demetz decided to join forces, bringing together Demetz’s technical expertise and Opal’s sales and marketing strengths. The two businesses are now well-placed to develop both in France and internationally. It was quite natural for Opal and Demetz to link up and consolidate their areas of expertise. There is much to be gained from their complimentary strength and mutual support.
